The 7 Principles of Teaching and Learning
High quality teaching and learning are at the heart of our drive to deliver excellence for all our students. The 7 Principles of Teaching and Learning underpin our approach and are firmly rooted in educational research. Our expert teachers know that learning is often hard and work to deepen their understanding of the barriers to learning that students may have. Through a continuous cycle of professional development, we ensure that all teachers are fully equipped to plan lessons based on the 7 Principles. This means that they can employ evidence-based strategies to ensure that every child is set up for success. In this video we set out the 7 Principles of Teaching and Learning. We explain where they came from, why they are so powerful and how we use them to unlock learning and support all students to be the best they can be.
