Students
Anyone who is unable to collect their results on these days will have their results emailed to their school email address by 12.30pm the same day. If students would like their results sending to an alternative email address (e.g. where they are out of the country on results day and will be unable to access their school email) they should email HGSExams@hgs.rklt.co.uk before results day, from their school email, stating the email address they would like their results sending to.
If you would like someone else to collect your results on your behalf, please complete the form below. This form, along with photo ID, will need to brought in by the person collecting your results on the day.
Once you have received your results you may want to know the grade boundaries for your subjects. These can be found on the Awarding Body websites via the following links:
If you think there might be an error with any of your grades e.g you think your paper has been marked incorrectly, there are a number of post-results services that are available through the school. The following information has been produced by JCQ and the awarding bodies to help you understand your results and what post-results services you may need.
Certificates for the Summer exams are usually received in school in November and students will be notified by email when they are available for collection. Certificates can be collected from main reception any time during the normal school opening hours. When collecting certificates please ensure you have some proof of ID with you.
It is advised that you collect your certificates as soon as you are able so that you have them when you might need them in the future, and that you store them somewhere safe as replacements can only be provided by the Awarding Bodies and carry a fee of £50+ depending on the Awarding Body.
If your certificates are to be collected by someone other than yourself, the person collecting the form will require a written letter of authority signed by you. You can use the form below which will need to be handed in when the authorised person collects your certificates.
Please note that any uncollected certificates are destroyed 24 months after a student has left Harrogate Grammar School in line with the school’s retention policy and the exam awarding body regulations.
If you require a copy of your previous examination results please contact HGSExams@hgs.rklt.co.uk
Please note that we do not hold any results information for former HGS students once they have reached the age of 25.
