Progression and Careers
Whatever path you choose you will be offered advice and guidance to help you plan for your future.
From day 1 of year 12 to the point at which students secure their progression route at the end of Year 13, the Sixth Form at HGS provides support for each stage of the journey. This includes weekly progression sessions with form tutors, the embedding of Unifrog, university and apprenticeship visits, career pathway talks, visiting speakers, application support, practice interviews and individual careers advice. This support enables students to progress onto a range of exciting destinations and to go on to make a profound impact on society.
Whilst the majority of our students progress into Higher Education, increasingly more students are taking alternative routes into employment. You will be encouraged to explore all options and take responsibility for your decisions with the support of an experienced team.
The following key information will guide you through each stage of the process.
