Catering for 2,000 students and staff each day is a mammoth task, but one that the team at Harrogate Grammar School are relishing under the leadership of our Executive Chef.
We passionately believe in local sourcing and we have daily deliveries of seasonal meats, vegetables & fruit, ensuring we can make exciting dishes from the freshest ingredients.
Keeping students fed with a healthily balanced diet of tasty and varied food at reasonable prices – that’s what the team here are all about and the school wants to be “world class” in this area as with all its activities. We listen carefully to the views of students as we devise new menus and exciting dishes from around the world.
We operate a cashless fingerprint system and parents are encouraged to top up using our online payments system. Parents eligible for free school meals should apply for these via North Yorkshire County Council.
We cater for all dietary requirements and parents with any concerns or any questions in regards to our catering services are encouraged to contact our chef at kitchen@hgs.rklt.co.uk
Parents wishing to sample lunch with us should contact chef to arrange.
Our kitchen is not a totally nut free environment however we have designated areas to prep nut free dishes.
