Celebration of Achievement

134At Harrogate Grammar School, we take immense pride in our tradition of celebrating student success.

Our annual Celebration of Achievement Evening, held each December, is a cornerstone event that honours the accomplishments of our students from the previous academic year.

This prestigious evening recognises excellence across a wide spectrum – academic performance, sporting achievements, musical talents, and, most importantly, the effort and resilience that underpin every success. The awards reflect our core values of commitment and excellence, and they celebrate not only high achievement but also the positive contributions students make to the life of our school.

Many of the prizes awarded have a rich legacy, with names that connect us to former students, staff, and families whose stories are part of HGS history. These awards are more than accolades – they are milestones in each student’s journey toward becoming the best version of themselves.

To be honoured at this event is a mark of distinction, and we are proud to celebrate every student who has earned this recognition. During the final school week in December, we also give further awards in assemblies and all children listen to the speeches given by our Head Students.
