World Book Day

Posted 27th February 2025

World Book Day will take place on Thursday 6 March.  This day celebrates authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading.

World Book Day

This year's theme is Read Your Way celebrating the reading students choose to do in their own time.

As part of our celebration of World Book Day 2025:

  • we are setting students the Reading Challenge
  • holding a Charitable Book Drive
  • sharing World Book Day vouchers in library lessons throughout the week
  • taking 60 students to experience a performance of 'Macbeth' at The Globe Theatre in London

In addition, teachers will be sharing details of their favourite books.

Charitable Book Drive

We are holding a charitable book drive to support the charity, Children's Book Project.

Please bring in any books that you have grown out of so that they can find new homes with others across the local community. Alternatively, you may wish to purchase an old favourite to donate.  We can accept any children's books in good condition.

Please hand these into reception or the LRC.
