HGS Burns Night 2026

The PE Department, in collaboration with the School’s PTA, warmly invites you to our annual Burns Night celebration, taking place on Saturday 7 February 2026.

This Scottish-themed evening promises fun, laughter, and a vibrant atmosphere. The event includes:

• Arrival drinks
• A three-course dinner
• A whisky toast
• A live ceilidh band and dancing, with a caller to guide you through the steps (no prior dancing experience required!)

Last year, the event raised over £10,000, which helped support the renovation of the boys’ PE changing rooms. This year, we are raising money to complete the renovation of the girls’ changing rooms, with building works planned for summer 2026.

Tickets are £45 and can be purchased either on the Arbor Shop or via the Burns Night ticketing website.

We will also be running a raffle on the night. Information about prizes and how to purchase raffle tickets will be sent out in the New Year.

Tickets usually sell out quickly, so we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.

Once your ticket has been purchased, we will contact you so that you can let us know who you would like to sit with. Alternatively, if your group nominates a “chief organiser” to purchase all the tickets together, we can easily allocate your party to the same table.
