Entry Requirements

For entry on to Sixth Form courses, we require a minimum of 6 GCSE grades 4 or above, including English Language and Mathematics at grade 4 or higher.

Level 2 BTEC qualifications will only count as 1 GCSE. If more than 1 is studied, only the best will count towards the entry requirements. GCSE short courses will not be included.

What combination of courses will be right for me?

You will select three full subjects at the start of Year 12 along with one of the additional choices.

Selecting the most appropriate courses is one of the most important factors in achieving success at Sixth Form. Some subjects have a traditional exam focus and others are assessed through project-based assessments throughout the course.

You will be advised about choosing combinations of subjects, and those students with particular career aspirations, such as medicine, will be given guidance as to which subjects will be essential for further study.

To submit an application, please complete the online form. Please note that students new to the school are required to submit a copy of the most recent progress report from your school.
After submitting your application you will receive a confirmation email. This will be followed by an invitation to meet with one of the Sixth Form Team for a coursing discussion, during which your application and subject choices will be discussed and confirmed.
