Excellence Continues as Harrogate Grammar School Students Celebrate GCSE Success
Today, Harrogate Grammar School is celebrating another year of strong GCSE outcomes, with students achieving excellent results across a broad range of subjects and securing ambitious next steps in their education.
80 per cent of this year’s cohort of 289 students achieved five or more standard passes, including English and mathematics. Performing at an exceptional level, 23 students achieved four or more grade 9s, including one student who achieved ten grade 9s, three students who achieved nine grade 9s and two students who achieved eight grade 9s. Overall, 34 per cent of all grades awarded were at the highest levels of 9-7. Across the cohort, students demonstrated the academic excellence, resilience and ambition that are hallmarks of Harrogate Grammar School.
The achievements of this year's cohort have opened the door to an exciting range of future opportunities. Approximately 80 per cent of students are expected to continue their education at Harrogate Grammar School Sixth Form. Students will progress onto a wide range of A-Level and vocational courses, whilst others will move on to college courses, apprenticeships and training. The breadth of destinations reflects the school's commitment to ensuring that every student is supported to find the pathway that is right for them and to achieve success in their chosen field.
