Facilities and venue hire at HGS

The school is blessed with very good facilities for its students and staff.

The Forum in our Sixth Form was built in 2010 and seats over 300 and offers a flexible space for learning with excellent audio visual equipment. The recently constructed G2 Sixth Form café is enjoyed by students, staff and visitors and we have made significant improvements to catering in the main school. We take a real pride in maintaining our classrooms and communal areas and continue to invest in the school premises.

The sports facilities are excellent and the recently built astro turf has had a huge impact on the quality of PE in addition to the provision of hockey. Facilities include a 4 badminton court sports hall used for 5 a side football, netball, basketball, cricket nets, volleyball, badminton, tennis and short tennis. Gymnasia 1 is used for gymnastics and gymnasia 2, which has been refurbished to include a mirrored wall and sprung floor, is used for fitness, dance and gymnastics. HGS also boasts 7 tennis courts, 5 netball courts, 2 outdoor basketball courts, 1 athletics track, 4 full size rugby pitches, 3 full size football pitches and a fully equipped fitness suite with cardio-vascular concept rowers, steps, aerobic mats and range of free weights.
