The Computing Hub is here to support you with all aspects of delivering excellence in teaching computing, whether you are a centre of excellence interested in the latest pedagogy or just starting out in delivering Computer Science we have something for you.
We provide CPD, help and support for both primary and secondary schools across North Yorkshire, Leeds and Wakefield.
We will work with you to identify your computing needs and provide a targeted programme of support to help embed this key subject in your school. Support includes high-quality CPD with generous bursaries; teaching and learning resources; and school-to-school support.

We continue to be committed to ensuring that we deliver the CPD you need in the most efficient manner and supporting your delivery of Computer Science across all key stages.
We run both face to face and remote courses aimed at both subject knowledge enhancement and pedagogy, we are also able to deliver bespoke CPD as required.
We run a series of twilight events on a Thursday evening known as “Computing Thursday”, see the link above for details of all courses and events.
Computing Subject Matter experts & Computing quality framework
Our subject matter experts will work with schools to support them in developing their computing curriculum and improving the skills and knowledge of their teachers. Support is also available for schools to achieve the computing quality framework.
Bursaries are available for schools who do not currently provide GCSE Computer Science. Please contact us if you would like one of our subject matter experts to help you.
CS accelerator programme & Computer Science Champion
The Computer Science (CS) Accelerator, is a programme of free, high-quality professional development and support and upskill teachers with the subject knowledge to successfully deliver the GCSE Computer Science across England. Our computer Science champion will support teachers in achieving the Computer Science Accelerator award and support further development of outstanding pedagogy.
