Mini Sports Day for New Year 7s

Each year the Physical Education and Sport Faculty arrange a Mini Sports Day for students starting in Year 7 this September. This event will be held out on the school fields and astro pitch on Saturday 13 July 2019 from 10.20am until 1.15pm. Students are asked to meet inside in the Sports Hall promptly at 10:20am to be assigned their activity groups.

We ask that parents remain on site throughout the whole sports day in the event of an early finish due to bad weather and also to watch your child take part, this will give parents the opportunity meet other parents and staff and take part in a parents’ rounders match should you wish to participate.  The PE & Sport Faculty is organising a barbeque and refreshments for both children and parents between activities.

Please note, if your child has a medical condition specifically relating to sport please could you let a member of staff know on the day or ring and advise us in advance.

Please check the HGS website the day before the event to see if it has had to be cancelled due to poor weather. We will also endeavour to email parents where possible.
