Well done to our students who were involved in the Yorkshire Swimming Championships. Sassy, Harris and Louisa all came away with medals in each of their events, a fantastic achievement.
The U13s table tennis team have become Regional champions and now go through to the National finals, this is a first in the history of Harrogate Grammar School, a spectacular achievement.

Y12 student, Charlie Littlewood, has qualified for the Finals of the Junior European Golf Open at the end of November, despite prioritising revising for his GCSEs in the early part of the year.
Two of our students have had recent cause to celebrate. Sisters, Eve Whitaker (Year 8) and Alexis Whitaker (Year 9) took part in the English Fell Running Championship, consisting of a series of six races over the Spring and Summer.
Two years ago as an U15, student Achele Agada had never played rugby before. She was eventually encouraged to give it a go, and as a result she played in two full contact tournaments that season. Achele was quickly identified as a player with potential.
Alex Green, in year 12, has excelled at the National Schools Indoor Ski Open Championships by coming second in the U18 Ladies Slalom after only 2 years of skiing, an outstanding achievement, she has now been offered a place in the National Schools Squad.
Huge congratulations to Megan Wilcox (Year 11) who is celebrating a very successful 2017-18, which has culminated in being nominated for the Disability Sport Yorkshire Female Young Achiever of the Year Award, and being awarded Equestrian of the Year by the Special Olympic Group, Able 2 Pontefract.
