Cameron, through to National Diversity Awards final

Cameron recently won the sporting achievement award at the prestigious StrayFM’s local heroes awards ceremony, he has now gone on to be shortlisted into the finals of the National Diversity Awards out of more than 24,000 entries, a massive congratulations to Cameron for this fantastic achievement.

A team of four students competed against teams from across the UK for this year’s UK Team Mathematics Challenge trophy. The team were winners in the regional final held in York and won the opportunity to compete in the National Final.

Earlier this year students in Year 7 and 8 spent an enjoyable week reading as many books as they could for the ‘Read for Good’ sponsored reading challenge. HGS has supported Read for Good for 10 years and this year saw an impressive £2777 raised.
