On Monday 4 July, 2.30pm-4.30pm we would like to invite our local senior citizens to our Summer Tea Party where students of the school will be organising refreshments, entertainment and a raffle.
Year 7 and 8 students travelled to Condover Hall in Shrewsbury for a weekend-long netball tournament, It was a brilliant weekend of netball for the school with teams winning and coming runners up.
It was a triple win for the HGS equestrian dressage team at the NSEA qualifiers earlier this month. Three school teams clinched 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and Preliminary and Novice test level.

Former student, Axel Brown, was back in the classroom last month, fresh from competing at the Beijing Winter Olympics. He brought his sled into school to show the students what can be achieved.
We are delighted to invite you to our annual Art & Design exhibition showcasing the amazing work produced by our GCSE and A level students, Thursday 23 June, 6.30-8.30pm in the Atrium.
Celebration of Achievement was back on track to formally honour students’ successes in 2020-2021. Held at the spectacular Royal Hall, it was a truly special night recognising the wide-ranging skills and talents of students.
The basketball team, set up in 2016/17 is going from strength to strength, now playing in competitive matches and winning. It’s fantastic, for both the students ad school, to see this relatively new club thriving.
The Boys’ U18 Rugby team were recently crowned the Yorkshire Cup champions, the first time the school have won the cup since 2007 and a sweet victory after a triumphant first year for the Sixth Form Sports Academy.
