Harrogate Grammar School supports a different charity every year. This year the students on the Charities committee have chosen to support Just B.  This charity has started to work closely with schools to support students, who are experiencing problems.  With the money we raise they will be able to extend their services to include more schools in the area.  Please see information in the attached letter regarding activities taking place next week.

A Level Geography Visit – September 2017 (PDF)

As part of the new Geography A-level course, students are required, by the exam board, to carry out four days of fieldwork. This is a compulsory element of the new specification. Fieldwork provides students with an invaluable opportunity to test out the theories they have examined in the classroom in a real-life context and to learn a range of investigative skills. In order to carry out the compulsory fieldwork element of the course, and best meet the needs of our students, I have arranged a trip to the Field Studies Council (FSC) centre at Blencathra in the Lake District. The trip will take place from Sunday 10th – Wednesday 13th September 2017.
